Big Mountain escapism

We took a few days off and went to Björkliden. A 400 kilometer road trip up north to the big mountains close to the Norwegian border. I was planning to bring the fat bike but changed my mind when packing the car. There were just not enough space. Also this is a family trip. Even… Continue reading Big Mountain escapism

Bikespotting in Austin, Texas

So, while Olov is in the mountains enjoying what seems to be great weather and good slopes, some of us has to work. And by work i mean going to Austin, TX for a week of SxSW Interactive, trying to navigate between thousands of sessions, everything between Neil deGrasse Tyson to Ben Huh of… Continue reading Bikespotting in Austin, Texas

Almost fat-bike time (+ Austin, TX)

The last few parts for the gold Mukluk has arrived or are in transit. I really cannot wait to get the bike rolling and trying it out on the ice. The weather is horrible at the moment, but hopefully it'll get a bit colder soon so we can go explore the archipelago by bike. Next… Continue reading Almost fat-bike time (+ Austin, TX)

Hello, my name is Lars, I live in Luleå, Swedish Lapland and I’m a bike nerd. Or at least on my way to become one. Christmas gift??? Problem solved.

I got a quite tough six year old girl. She likes skateboarding, cycling and kick bikes. She's the hardest one i the family to buy presents to. The average kids toys just end up lying around the house. The dollhouse she got a couple of years ago is donated to her baby brother. She wants… Continue reading Christmas gift??? Problem solved.

Well-Being and Glamping is a great niche for luxury travel.
Aurora Safari Camp, an outdoor nature lavvu camp, less than an 1 hour North of Luleå and Boden, is a nature retreat perched on a point by the Råneriver, in the woods, near Lassbyn.
Quietly relaxing in a lavvu camp between the river and the mountain. With natural clean water bottled at the property. It is a true luxury, like the last time spending time at the camp, gazing at the stars and the northern lights, enjoying great gourmet food, and hanging out by the open fire.

This week, Aurora Safari Camp won the prestigious Award at the Academy of Swedish Lapland. The 2013 Innovation Award.
